Easy but delicious Pork Schnitzel
Pork Schnitzels are perfect if you want to impress your guest without the hassle. I serve mine with a thick luscious Mushroom gravy and some grilled garden vegetables.
Ingredients
2 slices boneless Pork Chops (pound with a meat mallet until ¼” thick)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
2 eggs
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Some chopped parsley
Method
1. Season Meat with a pinch of salt and pepper.
2. Set up three plates. In the first plate, combine the flour with ½ tbs garlic powder, 1/2 tsp paprika and 1/2 tsp pepper. In the second plate,
beat the eggs and season with a pinch of salt. In the third, add the bread crumbs, mixed with chopped parsley.
3. Dredge both sides of each meat in flour, then dip in beaten egg, before breading in panko crumbs.
4. Heat a skillet with some vegetable oil. Add the breaded meat & fry over medium heat, about 3-4 minutes per side. Check to see if meat
is cooked through before serving.
5. Serve immediately.
Easy Mushroom Gravy
Ingredients
1 cup sliced button mushrooms
1 cup fresh stock
1 garlic (minced)
1 shallots (minced)
1tbs flour
1 tbs butter
Salt, pepper
1-2 tbs cream (optional)
Method
1. Stir fry garlic & shallots in butter.
2. Add mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
3. Add the flour and cook for a minute or two.
4. Add the stock, season.
5. Add the cream if using.
