Ingredients

40 gm oats

2 x 400 ml cans of chickpeas drained and rinsed

½ a red onion, peeled and chopped

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

handful of fresh parsley, roughly chopped

handful of fresh coriander, roughly chopped

2 tbs tahini

2 tbs olive oil

2 tbs lemon juice

1 tsp ground cumin

cayenne

salt and pepper

Method

1. Blend oats in a food processor until fine.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until it forms a ball. Do not over blend.

3. Heat the waffle iron and spray with some olive oil.

4. Spoon the falafel mixture into the grids, close and cook as per the cooking instruction of your waffle iron.

5. Remove.

6. Serve with tahini or hummus.
